Forum Ranks

Okay, so the forum offers this ranking option, and it raises the more you post. So far, I've only set one rank, that being Blue Rouge, which is one star and you reach it with 50 posts.

So I want to know, what do you think the higher ranks should be? (2, 3, 4, and 5 stars, as well as no stars at all.) I think Blue Rouge should maybe be higher than one star, but what do you guys think?

Also, what should the post limit be for each one? I was thinking 50 was a little high for 1 star, I mean, I've only posted 30 something times at the time of posting this, but if the forum grows and is busy, 50 might be easy. But I want some feedback.

I think I'm just going to pick 5 ranks that Vyse can reach in Skies of Arcadia, but I still wanted your opinion on the rank titles and the post minimum. I really like getting feedback.

I honestly cannot remember the ranks Vyse gets in the game.

Here's my idea:

50 - Deckhand (1 Star)

100 - Gunner (2 stars)

250 - Captain (3 stars)

500 - Fleet Commander (4 stars)

1000 - Grand Admiral (5 stars)

5000 - Emperor (6 stars) [optional]

I like that. And I like the idea of the 6th rank, but if I did that I don't think it would be Emperor or 5000 posts. Maybe something around 2500, but I don't know. Also it wouldn't be six stars it'd just be something awesome, above stars. In fact, I don't even have to do stars. I could replace the images to be something else. Like, one star looks like this:

My first thought was, I could replace that with a cutlass laying horizontally. So I guess a sword is an option. But there are other options as well. Maybe a special banner for that 6th rank. And I'd need a 0 stars rank too.

But I really like your ideas for the 1 - 5 stars, and I think I'll use those, actually, thanks.

Yeah, like have a horizontal image of a fancy-looking golden rapier, or perhaps a scepter.

As for zero stars, I don't know, what, Stowaway? I can't really think of anything for that.

It might be a good idea to lower the requirement for Emperor, simply for the fact that you'd have to be an absurd post whore to get 5 grand. I mean, a thousand is difficult as is.

Alright, I added the ranks. I don't really want to give away what they are because it seems like something to just wait for, but the 0 star rank is Fallen Pirate obviously. I thought it fit. Feedback on that?

Fallen Pirate would be a good one for a banned user, given its connotation. Honestly, 0 star could be anything stupid like "Airsick Pirate" or "Newcomer."

They are in place, but everyone is at 0 star because its kind of inactive lately. I see your point about Fallen Pirate status, but I'm going to just assign a banned member a rank, I'd just ban them. I think I'll change the title for 0 stars though. I like Airsick Pirate. I think I'm gonna go with that.

In the game if you got all the decisions wrong, you got the title "Vyse the Ninny"
