Well, theres the discovery of the one point where you can the eclipse, I think it is, or the dark moon. Don't remember, and theres the Dark Moon Stone (and the dark moon stone chamber) in the Dark Rift. I remember reading something about there being a dark moon above the rift and maybe even a black gigas, but I don't think it was anything official, fan fiction maybe. I suppose theres a lot of information I could find by googling, but I don't think I'd see anything official. I think somewhere in the game there are legends of the Black Moon, but I haven't looked into it; if theres anything to really look into.

| Now my head hurts even more. If the moon usually eclypses the sun, I wonder what could eclypse a moon. Bet I could find plent y of fan fiction though | |

| The Earth (or in this case, the world of Arcadia) eclipses the moon. Every once in a while, our own moon gets eclipsed by the Earth. In fact, there was one not too long ago, on December 21st last year.
The eclipse you can discover is high in the sky over the Land of Ice, and is not related to the Dark Moon.
The only discovery I know of related to the Dark Moon is the Dark Moonstones you find floating in the center of the Dark Rift. I know that Ramirez (heh) uses the power of the Dark Moon in some some of his special attacks as well.
I imagine that the Dark Moon has power over time and space, and that it doesn't really exist in the same sense as the other Moons, it's simply buried in (and causing) the Dark Rift. At least, I think that's how it's explained when you discover the Dark Moonstones.

- This rare, Black Moon Stone holds tremendous power. It can turn positive energy to negative, and vice versa, but a practical application for this ability has not been found. There are rumors of a lost Black Moon, but the truth remains unknown.
To find it, go to the center of the rift. You will see several black moon stones glowing everywhere, but the one you want is in the middle of the room, where a large black glow is. That's what I found on the Wiki. That's all there really is to it.
